The Court of First Instance of the European Communities to visit Finland

The Court of First Instance of the European Communities will make an official visit to Finland on 22-24 February.
The participants will include Marc Jaeger, President of the Court of First Instance, Virpi Tiili, Finnish Judge at the Court of First Instance and division chairperson, and seven other judges. The visit has been organised at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb, Minister of Justice Tuija Brax, Labour Minister Tarja Cronberg, President of the Supreme Court Pauliine Koskelo and President of the Supreme Administrative Court Pekka Hallberg.
During their visit to Finland, the members of the Court of First Instance will meet officials from the ministries that extended the invitation and members of the highest courts of Finland. On Monday 23 February, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and the Economy will organise a competition court seminar, where President Marc Jaeger will give the main address. On Tuesday 24 February, the Ministry of Justice will organise a seminar on openness and publicity of documentation with Judge Virpi Tiili as the main speaker.
