Foreign Minister of Yugoslavia visits Finland


Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Goran Svilanovic visits Finland on 25-26 February at the invitation of Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja. Their discussions will focus on questions related to the European Union, on the situation at the West Balkans and on bilateral relations between Yugoslavia and Finland.

Foreign Minister Svilanovic will also meet with the Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen and pay a visit to the Parliament.

On Tuesday, 26 February, Foreign Minister Svilanovic will give a speech at the Paasikivi Society on “The New Foreign Policy of Yugoslavia – Priorities, Challenges and Achievements”. The occasion will take place at the Hotel Strand at 5 p.m.
