Foreign Minister Stubb to Latvia

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will make a visit to Latvia on Wednesday 4 February. The visit will be hosted by Latvian Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins. In addition to Foreign Minister Riekstins, Stubb will also meet President Valdis Zatlers in Riga.

The topics of discussion will include the bilateral relations between Finland and Latvia, the Baltic Sea region cooperation, energy policy, and the EU’s Eastern Partnership. Other topics on the agenda will be the international financial situation and other international policy issues of current interest, such as the situation in the Middle East, transatlantic relations and Russia.
