Minister for Foreign Affairs Soini to attend a meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States

Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will attend a foreign ministerial meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Jurmala, Latvia, on 3 June.

Ministers will discuss the plan to reform the work of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), prepared during the Latvian Presidency. Finland supports the reform of the CBSS.  The meeting will mark the end of the Latvian Presidency of the CBSS and the transfer of the Presidency to Denmark.

The meeting will be hosted by Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkēvičs.  Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko has been invited to be the guest speaker at the event.
