Vacant Position at the Embassy of Finland; Coordinator for the Osaka Expo 2025

The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo is looking to hire a locally employed Coordinator for the Osaka Expo 2025 -related activities.

The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo is looking to hire a locally employed Coordinator from 15th March 2025 or as agreed for the activities related to the Osaka Expo 2025, and more specifically to the Finnish participation in the Nordic Pavilion in Osaka Expo. Osaka Expo 2025 takes place in April – October 2025. Therefore, the employment contract will be made for a fixed period of seven months. The position will be based in Tokyo, but Coordinator will be travelling to Osaka regularly.

Main responsibilities include:

• Organizing events, meetings, visits and making other arrangements
• Maintaining contacts and correspondence with Japanese officials
• Handling contacts with the Finnish and Nordic counterparts

Requirements:

• Relevant education and work experience in similar tasks
• Fluent written and spoken Japanese
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to manage change and flexible approach to various demands
• Organizational skills and attention to detail; possibility to travel
• Knowledge of Finland and/or Finnish language is an asset, but not a requirement
