The truth about Finnish schools

In autumn 2016 Finland’s comprehensive schools will adopt a new core curriculum which has in some critical circles been described as the downfall of the world’s best education system. Educational experts respond to these claims, to explain if there is any truth in them.

Adopting new methods for learning and teaching could knock Finland off the top of the international PISA rankings for education systems, but this is of little interest to Finns. The most important goal is teach youngsters the skills they will need in future.
