Press Officials appointed to Washington and Tokyo

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed information officers to serve for a three-year term in the Embassies of Finland in Tokyo and Washington.
Master of Arts Kari Mokko was appointed to serve as Press Official in Washington as from 1 August 2007. Mokko has a long career as a journalist and producer in the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE.
Licentiate in Philosophy Pekka Hako was appointed to serve as Press Official responsible for cultural affairs in Washington as from 1 August 2007. In the past, Hako has made a career in the Finnish Music Information Centre as producer and executive director.
Professor Seppo Kimanen was appointed to serve as Press Official in Tokyo as from 1 September 2007. Kimanen is better known as a musician and his current position is Director of the Finnish Institute in London.
