Press Officials appointed to Washington and Tokyo

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed information officers to serve for a three-year term in the Embassies of Finland in Tokyo and Washington.

Kari Mokko Master of Arts Kari Mokko was appointed to serve as Press Official in Washington as from 1 August 2007. Mokko has a long career as a journalist and producer in the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE.

Pekka Hako Licentiate in Philosophy Pekka Hako was appointed to serve as Press Official responsible for cultural affairs in Washington as from 1 August 2007. In the past, Hako has made a career in the Finnish Music Information Centre as producer and executive director.

Seppo Kimanen Professor Seppo Kimanen was appointed to serve as Press Official in Tokyo as from 1 September 2007. Kimanen is better known as a musician and his current position is Director of the Finnish Institute in London.
