The Embassy of Finland in Reykjavik is looking to employ, on a permanent basis, from 1st of August 2019 (or according to agreement) a full-time Property Management and Office Services Supervisor / Driver

The Property Management and Office Services Supervisor is locally employed; terms of employment are according to Icelandic laws and regulations. ​​​​​​​

Job description:

- Coordinating the service and maintenance of properties as well as repair work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Helsinki/Estate and Procurement Services Unit

- Servicing and maintaining the chancellery- and residence- properties and technical equipment, including small repair work

- Running general janitorial tasks related to services in the office premises and the residence

- In charge of driving, transports and deliveries (for example of Embassy post)

- Security related matters, management of keys, IT deputy administrator

- Participating in procurement of material

- Participating in the practical arrangement of Embassy events

- Other duties as requested by the Head of Mission

 

Requirements for the position are relevant education and/or experience of similar tasks. Valid driver’s license and good driving skills. Carrying out the job successfully requires capacity to take initiative and work independently, good practical organizing and communication skills. Readiness to work outside normal office hours is expected. Good command of English is required, knowledge of Finnish/Icelandic and local conditions an advantage.
