EU foreign ministers to discuss situation in Middle East

EU ministers of foreign affairs will hold an informal video teleconference on Tuesday 17 June. Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will represent Finland at the teleconference.

The ministers will discuss the alarming situation between Israel and Iran. 

“A sustainable solution can be found through diplomacy, not through military action. The EU is committed to promoting regional stability in the Middle East, stressing that Iran will not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons,” says Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen

The foreign ministers will continue to discuss the situation in the Middle East at the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Monday 23 June.
