Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will visit Ireland on 3–5 July and hold bilateral discussions with Ireland’s new Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Simon Coveney on Monday 3 July.

On Friday 20 November, the President of the Republic appointed Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Jaana Teckenbergto serve as Head of the Embassy of Finland in Dublin, Ireland, from 1 January 2016.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs annual rotation of Heads of Mission has been completed. Most of the 24 new Heads of Mission took up their positions on 1 September.
