Helsinki urban art fest in your face

URB10’s organisers refuse to pigeonhole their Helsinki-based festival for urban art, now in its 11th year, billing it as “a proposition for a big picture without one title or theme” and “a group of actions, works and encounters that take place here and now.”

Vague though those descriptions may sound, the theatre, dance, movies, exhibitions, happenings and workshops that make up URB10 (till August 8, 2010) all pack a punch. The events have an air of alternativeness, of questioning and challenging the audience and the rules.
