Identification of student applicants will be temporarily prioritized from 1st June until the end of July at VFS New Delhi
In order to facilitate swift identification process and to make sure all student applicants are able to begin their studies in Finland on time, identification of student applicants will be prioritized from 1st of June until the end of July 2025.

Ambassador of Finland to India Mr. Kimmo Lähdevirta held a decoration ceremony for Graphic Designer Mrs. Pia Kaikonen on the 5th of March 2025. Mrs. Kaikonen has been awarded with the honour of the Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland and recognized for her dedicated work in the Spouses' Association of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, ULPU ry.
Foreign wild-berry pickers now subject to seasonal work rules: legislative amendment combats exploitation and human trafficking
Following legislative amendments that entered into force on 17 February, wild-berry picking carried out by foreign nationals is treated as seasonal work. Companies must hire foreign berry pickers for a contractual employment relationship to enable them apply for an entry permit to Finland. In future, berry pickers will apply for a seasonal work visa for stays up to three months.
