Minister Tiilikainen announces the opening of the Finland Chamber of Commerce in India
The minister of the environment, energy and housing Kimmo Tiilikainen has announced the opening of the new Finland Chamber of Commerce in India (FINCHAM). The opening ceremony took place in New Delhi on 20 April. The main task of the chamber is to support Finnish companies in India, whether they are already established or aiming for the market area. Furthermore, the chamber boosts dialogue between the two countries both in economic and cultural matters.

Prime Minister Sipilä: Finland and India have good opportunities for cooperation
The development of economic relations between the Nordic countries and India was the main theme in the India-Nordic Summit in Stockholm on Tuesday 17 April. Prime Minister Juha Sipilä also held a bilateral meeting with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including negotiations on trade relations between Finland and India and on promoting investment and other cooperation.

Minister Tiilikainen to visit India
Minister of the Environment, Energy and Housing Kimmo Tiilikainen will visit India from 19 April to 20 April to promote cooperation in renewable energy and environmentally friendly solutions. He will meet representatives of the Indian Government and Indian companies. He will be accompanied by the representatives of ten key Finnish energy and technology companies operating in India, including Fortum, Valmet and Wärtsilä.
