100 Acts for Gender Equality in Croatia successfully launched
The Embassy of Finland with the Croatian Governmental Office for Gender Equality and the Parliamentary Committee on Gender Equality held a launch event for the campaign 100 Acts for Gender Equality in Croatia. The aim of the initiative is to collect 100 acts that enhance gender equality within the Croatian society. President of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, is the Patron for the campaign.

100 Acts for Gender Equality in Croatia
The Embassy of Finland in Zagreb with the Croatian Governmental Office for Gender Equality and the Parliamentary Committee on Gender Equality are launcing an initiative titled 100 Acts for Gender Equality in Croatia. President of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, is the Patron for the campaign. The initiative is a part of the centenary of Finland’s independence in 2017. It compromises of different communities taking concrete actions towards gender equality

Signmark ignites Zagreb
To celebrate 100 years of Finland’s independence and 25 years of diplomatic relations between Finland and Croatia, rap-artist Signmark visited Zagreb during Europe Week in May, 2017. The internationally acclaimed artist held a public lecture and was guest performer at a concert to mark Europe Day in Zagreb.

Spring in Zagreb - Contemporary dance, history and a festive spirit
For the past spring, Finland's centenary year and the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Croatia have given many reasons to celebrate. Especially the performance of the leading Finnish contemporary dance group Tero Saarinen Company and the lecture of Finland's Member of Parliament Erkki Tuomioja at the University of Zagreb commemorated these milestones in great ways.

Embassy of Finland closed on 1st of May
The Embassy of Finland in Croatia will be closed on 1st of May due to Labour Day. May 1st is Labour Day in many countries, but the Finns also see it as a chance to celebrate the arrival of spring. People dust off their white secondary-school graduation caps and wear them around town, and the parks are filled with picnicking partiers of all ages. In fact, May Day and the preceding evening represent the biggest party of the year. Happy May Day!
