Tapio Wirkkala exhibition in Zagreb until 21.8.

The exhibition "Tapio Wirkkala - Design Legend from Finland", produced by the Finnish Design Museum, is open for the public in the Museum of Arts and Crafts till August 21.

Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) was one of the pioneers of Finnish industrial art who gained international recognition in the years following the Second World War. Wirkkala's works range from exlusive creations of art glass to mass-produced everyday objects, from unique pieces to beer bottles, incandescent lamps and banknotes.

The exhibition that has now arrived to Zagreb shows the Croatian public the work of the symbolic figure of Finnish design. Before Zagreb, the exhibition has been shown for instance in Madrid, Washington, Mexico City and Helsinki.
