Ambassador Piipponen Presents Credentials to Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Yesterday in Sarajevo, Ambassador Risto Piipponen presented his credentials to Mr. Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, Ambassador Piipponen highlighted that the two states enjoy friendly bilateral relations, without any open issues and have regular contacts at the political level. Ambassador Piipponen also stressed that Finland continues to be a strong supporter of the EU’s enlargement policy and welcomes that Bosnia and Herzegovina has reaffirmed its commitment to strive for membership in the European Union, adding that Finland is ready to share experiences, expertise and knowledge through Twinning, TAIEX and other cooperation.

Presidency Chairman Mr. Izetbegović wished the Ambassador of Finland a successful mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed the belief that bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finland would be further strengthened.
