Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić to visit Finland

Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić will visit Finland on 28 November. Pusić will have official discussions with Erkki Tuomioja and in the Finnish Parliament she will meet Speaker of Parliament Eero Heinäluoma and representatives of the Grand Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. In addition, Pusić will give a lecture at the Aleksanteri Institute themed “Croatia as a New Member of the EU Family”.

The topics of discussion with Foreign Minister Tuomioja will include the forthcoming Croatian EU membership, the situation of the Western Balkans, and the bilateral relations between Finland and Croatia.

Croatia is scheduled to become the 28th Member State of the European Union on 1 July 2013. In Finland, the Government proposal on adoption of Croatia’s Accession Treaty is currently under consideration by parliamentary committees.
