Foreign Minister Stubb to attend the OSCE Ministerial Council in Athens

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will take part in the OSCE Ministerial Council to be held in Athens on 1–2 December. The main theme of the meeting is to continue the dialogue on European security that began a year ago at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Helsinki. Intensification of the OSCE’s activities in conflict resolution, arms control and in the implementation of commitments made previously is a fundamental part of the whole.

Issues of energy security and combating supranational threats, including terrorism, drugs and human trafficking, are also on the agenda. Measures to promote human rights and democracy will be prominent as well.

In addition, Foreign Minister Stubb will have bilateral talks in Athens.
