Music in Athens

Finnish gospel singer Nina Åström sings in Athens on 18th September at 8 pm. She was called in Athens by the Christian artists´s Greek association.

Nina Åström was born and now lives in Finland. Towards the end of the 80's Nina started to perform regularly and in 1991 she recorded her first album 'Person 2 Person'. In 2000 Nina won the Finnish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'A Little Bit' and with this song Nina represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm In May 2000.

Nina has worked in almost 20 countries. Nina has also performed in prisons, has also partnering Kansan Raamattuseura from Finland and Skandinavian Children's Mission from Sweden. The most recent partnership has come out of Nina being engaged as a Unicef Goodwill ambassador in her native city of Karleby and the province of Central Ostrobothnia, that are partners to Unicef Finland year 2004.

Over the years the music of Nina Åström has been appreciated by both her fans and musicians for her great voice, her warmth and integrity that come across through the music and songs.
The songs are written from a Christian perspective and are a personal statement as well.
