Finland to Support UNESCO General Conference’s Youth Forum

Finland has agreed to support the participation of youth delegates from the 48 Least Developed Countries (LDC) with the total amount of Euro 25 000.

The Youth Forum is being organised for the 7th time, and is an integral part of the UNESCO General Conference. The conference will be held in Paris between the 17th and 20th October 2011.

Each LDC can send up to two youth delegates to the conference, which brings together delegates from all UNESCO Member States. Youth and the LDCs are recognised as priority groups for UNESCO’s Medium-Term Strategy. It is therefore crucial, that youth from the LDCs are also represented in the conference.
