Brexit event for Finnish businesses in the UK on Wednesday 16th October
The Embassy of Finland is organizing an event for Finnish businesses in the UK on how they can prepare for the UK’s departure from the European Union. The event will take place on Wednesday 16th October from 11am to 12am at the Embassy of Finland in London (address: 38 Chesham Place, London SW1X 8HW), and is organized in co-operation with Business Finland and Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce.

The Embassy of Finland in London held a climate seminar with ministerial level speakers from Finland and the UK
The Embassy of Finland in London held a high profile climate seminar at the official residence of Ambassador Markku Keinänen on Tuesday 10th of September 2019. The event was part of a larger Finnish EU presidency related programme organised by the Embassy. The event’s purpose was to present the climate objectives of both the Finnish Government and Finland’s EU Presidency, as well as create connections with British climate professionals and to find channels for cooperation between the two countries.

Europe Information office in Finland: Brexit tips: advice for UK citizens living in Finland
Finland and the EU are aiming to ratify an agreement in Brexit negotiations that would ensure an orderly withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. If the negotiated agreement does not enter into force, the withdrawal will be without an agreement. A no-deal Brexit is possible and it is good to prepare for it in advance. This would mean that the EU Treaties and EU legislation will cease to apply to the United Kingdom.
