New Permanent Representation website launched – now available in Swedish 

 

The website of the Permanent Representation of Finland to the European Union, which is located in Brussels, has a new look. The change is part of the overhaul of the websites of the overseas representations and embassies of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The website of the EU Representation can now be consulted in Swedish. As before, Finnish, English and French versions of the site also exist.

The Permanent representation of Finland to the EUThe purpose of the overhaul is to be able to offer a better service to those who have dealings with the EU Representation. For example, the contact details and photographs of the different civil servants will be more clearly visible in the Personnel section.

The site also contains information on the European Union, its institutions and activities. Articles on the homepage and communiqués from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will be replaced on a regular basis.

The website is edited by Press Counsellor Marko Ruonala. Together with Press Assistant Leena Rasinperä, he is responsible for maintaining the site. Heikki Sallinen, the IT- Manager at the EU Representation, has transferred the text, pictures and other material to the new publication system and he also provides technical support at the Representation to the web-team.

The publication system is the responsibility of the Unit for Web Communications in the Department of Communications and Culture at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki.
