Foreign Minister Stubb to attend the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of ISAF countries in Tallinn

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will take part in the meeting for countries contributing to the ISAF operation in Afghanistan, to be held on 23 April in conjunction with the NATO Foreign Ministerial Meeting in Tallinn. All 46 countries participating in the ISAF operation have been invited to the meeting. The situation in Afghanistan and ISAF support to Afghanistan will be discussed at the meeting. Plans on how to proceed in transferring responsibility for security will also be discussed.

The data available at present indicate that airspace restrictions in Northern Europe will not prevent the meeting from being held.
