Nordic and Baltic Foreign Ministers to meet in Helsinki

The NB8 Foreign Ministers’ meeting, gathering together the Foreign Ministers of the Nordic and Baltic States, will take place in Helsinki on 30 August. Finland is the country coordinating NB8 cooperation in 2011.

The topics of discussion at this ministerial meeting are the situation in Northern Africa and the Middle East, the West Balkans and the EU Eastern Partnership policy. Further deepening and development of practical cooperation among the Nordic and Baltic countries will also be discussed.

Following the meeting, a seminar celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Baltic States’ regained independence will be held in the Finnish Parliament for invited guests.
