Marjo Näkki appointed press officer to the Finnish Embassy in Tallinn

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed journalist Marjo Näkki press officer to the Finnish Embassy in Tallinn.

She will begin in her new position on 1 November. The term of appointment is for three years.

Marjo Näkki (34) has earned a degree in journalism in England and has worked for several Finnish media, including the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) and the Finnish News Agency (STT), where she specialized in crime and legal journalism.

Näkki will take up her work as press officer on site in Tallinn, where she has been living for three years. She worked as the STT correspondent in Tallinn in 2008–2009 and as the joint correspondent for STT and MTV3 in 2010.
