Ahtisaari Day spotlights negotiation

Crisis Management Initiative, founded by Martti Ahtisaari (centre), celebrated its tenth anniversary in April 2011, at the same time kicking off the Ahtisaari Day concept. Kofi Annan (left) was a keynote speaker and then–Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb (now Minister of European Affairs and Foreign Trade) joined them.

The first annual national Ahtisaari Day, named after Nobel Peace laureate and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari, is held on November 16, 2011.
