Finland and Tanzania agreed on the form of their future cooperation, in connection with the visit of Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen and Minister for International Development Pekka Haavisto.
Governor of Leningrad Oblast Aleksander Drozdenko to Finland
Governor of Leningrad Oblast Aleksander Drozdenko will visit Finland on Monday 3 February at the invitation of Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb. In their meeting, Stubb and Drozdenko will discuss the topical issues related to trade, investments and mobility between Finland and the Leningrad Oblast.

The negotiations concerning the EU-US Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership were launched in June 2013. The third round of negotiations was conducted in December 2013 and the fourth round will be held on 10−14 March in Brussels.
Better education for Ethiopian children with Finland’s support
Thanks to a programme supported by Finland, over 21 million Ethiopian children will receive a better education. The programme for developing the quality of general education in Ethiopia was published in Addis Ababa on 28 January, in connection with the visit of Minister for International Development Pekka Haavisto. “The goal is to ensure that each pupil has his or her own textbook and a qualified teacher for teaching,” Minister Haavisto says.
