Foreign Ministry Statement on Extradition of Milosevic

Finland, like the international community as a whole, is satisfied with the important step taken by the Republic of Yugoslavia by extraditing Slobodan Milosevic to the Hague. By taking this measure, Yugoslavia,as a member of the UN, fulfils its international responsibilities, of which the cooperation with the International War Crime Tribunal in the Hague is one of the most important.

Finland expects that the cooperation with the Tribunal leads to bringing all suspects for war crimes before justice.
