Governor of Leningrad Oblast Aleksander Drozdenko to Finland

Governor of Leningrad Oblast Aleksander Drozdenko will visit Finland on Monday 3 February at the invitation of Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb. In their meeting, Stubb and Drozdenko will discuss the topical issues related to trade, investments and mobility between Finland and the Leningrad Oblast.

During his visit, Drozdenko will also meet President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Eero Heinäluoma, Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori, and Minister of the Environment Ville Niinistö. In addition, he will participate in a business seminar organised by the Confederation of Finnish Industries.

The Leningrad Oblast, surrounding the city of St. Petersburg, is an important market area for Finnish business and industry. On an estimate, there are more than 400 Finnish companies operating in the region.
