Special Envoy for the Gaddafi Foundation Rajib Azzarouk visits Finland

Libyan Ambassador Rajib Azzarouk is paying a visit to Finland. Ambassador Azzarouk played a key role when the hostages, the Finns Risto Vahanen and Seppo Fränti among them, were released from the island of Jolo in the Philippines one year ago. Ambassador Azzarouk who acts as a special envoy for the Gaddafi International Foundation for Charity Associations, cane to Finland at his own initiative.
He will discuss with Finnish authorities on the current situation in Southern Philippines and on projects that could support peace processes in the region.
Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja hosted a lunch for Azzarouk on Friday, September 14. The former hostages Risto Vahanen and Seppo Fränti were also invited to the lunch.
