Nordic Ministers for Foreign Affairs to convene in Helsinki

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will host a meeting of Nordic Ministers for Foreign Affairs on Friday, 8 June in Helsinki. The meeting is an element of close cooperation in foreign affairs among the Nordic countries, which Finland is now leading as the country holds the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2007. The meeting will be held at Smolna, the Government Banqueting Hall.

The agenda for the foreign ministers’ meeting includes climate change, the Northern Dimension and Baltic Sea region, Russia, the Middle East, the Horn of Africa and the Western Balkans.
