Foreign Minister Haavisto to meet Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will meet Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney in Helsinki on 7 June.

The Ministers will discuss, among other things, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European security situation and the EU–UK relationship.

“Ireland is an important and close partner for Finland in EU matters. This spring has shown that close dialogue with our partner countries is central in the current foreign and security policy situation. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to discuss with my Irish counterpart in Helsinki and to exchange views of current affairs,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Haavisto.
