The Finnish maternity package aroused interest

The Finnish Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe organized an informal maternity package evening for the representatives of other delegations. The Deputy Permanent Representative introduced her maternity package, which she received from the state.

This Finnish tradition and the rich content of the box aroused the colleagues'  interest  and admiration, although they had prepared themselves for the evening by reading an article (Link to another website.) They agreed that it is a good sign that the state ensures the baby's and the mother's needs before the birth. The "Babybox" seems to be a good encouragement for family planning and parenthood as well.
