Dalaï Lama's visit to the Council of Europe

Dalaï Lama paid a visit to the Council of Europe on 15th September 2016. He had paid an official visit to the Council of Europe only once before in 2008. During his visit he held an address to the ambassadors and to the representatives of the Council of Europe bodies. He emphasized unity, harmony, tolerance and love between individuals as a way to create a world with greater compassion. During his visit he met with Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Pedro Agramunt, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and Nils Muiznieks, Commissioner for Human rights of the Council of Europe. Dalaï Lama also supported a youth campaign against terrorism #no hate no fear.
