Foreign Minister Stubb to China and Japan

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will visit China and Japan on 1-6 November. The programme in China will include discussions and a working lunch with Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, a meeting with Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, as well as discussions with influential persons and researchers within the field of international politics.

In Japan, Foreign Minister Stubb will meet Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada, upper and lower house speakers of the Japanese Parliament, as well as representatives of business life and research institutes.

In both countries, foreign policy leaders will have international issues of current interest, climate change, and regional development in Asia and Europe on the agenda. In addition, Foreign Minister Stubb will give a lecture at Peking University and Hosei University in Tokyo about the theme “EU - A Global Power in the Making”.
