Liu Yunshan, member of the highest leadership of China, visits Finland

Member of the Communist Party of China Politburo Standing Committee Liu Yunshan will visit Finland on 12–15 June as one of the stops on his visit to Europe.

During his visit, Liu Yunshan will meet President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Eero Heinäluoma, Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen, Minister of Culture and Housing Pia Viitanen, and leadership of the cities of Helsinki and Rovaniemi, as well as representatives of Finnish parties.

The topics of discussion in Liu Yunshan’s official meetings will include the bilateral relations between Finland and China, and the Chines reform policies. The guests are particularly interested in cultural cooperation and bilateral exchange of visits affairs. During the visit, the intention is to sign a cooperation agreement between the City of Helsinki and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China.
