Jyri Lintunen appointed Press Officer in Beijing

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed Jyri Lintunen  to serve as a temporary Press Officer at the Embassy of Finland in Beijing. The three-year term will start at the beginning of August.

Lintunen will transfer to Beijing from Finnfacts, where he has been responsible for the support of Finnish companies' and organisations' internationalisation through country branding and media communications.

He has extensive experience of China, global communications and press relations as well as Team Finland activities.

Lintunen's previous jobs include, for example, China research at Aalto University School of Business and work as a visa officer at the Embassy of Finland in Beijing.

The Press Officer's duty is to use communications, country branding and culture to advance Finland's objectives among the key target groups in China. The aim is to increase interest in Finland as a cooperation partner in different fields and to promote Finnish-Chinese relations and networks. The Press Officer works in close cooperation with the Team Finland actors in Beijing.
