Bears get stares on Senate Square

Strikingly large and colourful, the United Buddy Bears travel the world promoting international harmony.

One country – one bear – one artist. Peace and understanding. That’s how the United Buddy Bear statues arrived at Helsinki’s Senate Square.

Each bear stands two metres (6.5 feet) tall and represents one of the 142 countries recognised by the United Nations – it would be a tough task to have to decide on a favourite.
