Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimonen(Link to another website.) was the recipient of the 2019 Finnish State Prize for Multidisciplinary Artist and has exhibited widely and facilitated several workshops at home and abroad. This is Not a Rehabilitation Project(Link to another website.) works and projects are exhibited at the ArtPort Gallery until July 3. The exhibit is part of the yearlong cultural exchange between the Nordic countries and Canada, Nordic Bridges(Link to another website.). This exchange is expected to result in enhancing cultural connections between the countries for years to come.
Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimonen wants to spur conversation about alternative ways of being a human. Her effusive nature makes her an ideal disability activist and her own experiences give her a close and diverse view on disability.
