Advance voting in the European Elections in Canada 2019

The elections to the European Parliament (European Elections) will be held in Finland on Sunday 26 May 2019. Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for the organisation of advance voting abroad. Advance voting will be possible in Canada from 15 to 17 May in five cities.

Voters take note that not all polling stations in Canada will be open all three days. You can check your closest polling stations and its opening hours below.

A passport or some other official ID must be presented at the polling station. It is also good to take the notice of your right to vote with you. However, it is also possible to vote without it.

Every Finnish citizen who has reached the age of 18 no later than on election day, irrespective of his or her place of residence, is entitled to vote. If a Finnish citizen has registered to vote in the European elections that are held in some other EU Member State, he or she is not, however, entitled to vote in the European elections in Finland.

General advance polling stations abroad are located in Finland's diplomatic and consular missions or their offices.
