Inget beslut om Bulgariens och Rumäniens anslutning till Schengenområdet kan fattas ännu
EU:s råd för rättsliga och inrikes frågor diskuterade Bulgariens och Rumäniens anslutning till Schengenområdet. I praktiken skulle det innebära att gränskontrollerna vid gränserna mellan Bulgarien och Rumänien och de andra EU-länderna skulle avlägsnas.

Too early to make a decision on the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area
The EU Justice and Home Affairs Council discussed today, on 22 September, the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area. In practice, the accession would mean that internal border checks be lifted at the borders between Bulgaria and Romania and the other EU countries. ‘Finland considers that it is yet too early to make a decision on the accession of these two states to the Schengen area,’ said Minister of the Interior Päivi Räsänen.

Bulgária és Románia schengeni csatlakozásáról még nem lehet dönteni
Az EU igazságügyi- és belügyminiszteri tanácsában szeptember 22-én tárgyalták Bulgária és Románia csatlakozásának kérdését a schengeni övezethez. Ez a gyakorlatban a belső határokon való határellenőrzés eltörlését jelentené Bulgária és Románia más EU országokkal közös határszakaszain. – Finnország álláspontja szerint a döntést ezen országok schengeni övezethez való csatlakozásáról még nem lehet meghozni – jelentette ki Päivi Räsänen finn belügynminiszter az értekezleten.
