Futuro! Installation at the Embassy of Finland in Canberra
As part of the celebration of the centenary of Finnish independence, Sydney based artist Daniel Soma exhibited a site specific installation for The Finnish Crazy Games at the Embassy of Finland to Australia. This installation will remain at the embassy for an indefinite period of time.

The Kari Ikonen Trio (Jazz) is coming to Canberra on 1 November 2017
The Kari Ikonen Trio (Kari Ikonen on piano, Olli Rantala on bass, Markku Ounaskari on drums) is at the top of the Finnish jazz scene and has gained international recognition and success. Girls take over the Deputy Head of Mission's role at the Embassy of Finland
As part of the International Day of the Girl on 11 October 2017, girls around the world took over the positions of over 600 leaders in 60 countries as a statement of female empowerment and potential. The Embassy of Finland took part in the Girls' Takeover, allowing two girls to step into the shoes of the Deputy Head of Mission. Imogen (Dickson College) and Isabella (Canberra Girls Grammar School) had three main responsibilities for the half day they were at the embassy.
