Parliamentary Elections 2023
Parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday 2 April 2023. Advance voting takes place from 22 to 28 March in Finland and from 22 to 25 March abroad. Regardless of domicile, every Finnish citizen who has reached the age of 18 not later than on the day of the election is entitled to vote.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for organising advance voting in Finland’s missions abroad and on board Finnish ships sailing outside the Finnish territory during the advance voting period.
The Ministry of Justice has the overall responsibility for conducting the elections. Postal voting
Persons living or staying abroad for the duration of the entire advance voting period and on election day may vote by post in general elections. An eligible voter wishing to vote by post shall order the postal voting documents to an address abroad, cast their vote, and send the postal vote to Finland to the central municipal election board of his or her municipality (Link to another website.)
