Finnish Crazy Games return Saturday, October 12th 2019
Celebration of all things Finnish is returning to the Embassy of Finland in Canberra! Everyone is welcome to this family-friendly event, a light-hearted way to learn all about Finland.

Feel empowered as you race a hobbyhorse. Contribute to the circular economy by bringing, throwing and recycling your old mobile phones. Encourage inclusivity and equality as you watch or better yet participate in hän-carrying. We invite you, to do all this, and more at the Finnish Crazy Games!
This year’s games will be a part of the Windows to the World event, when embassies in Canberra open their grounds revealing beautiful landscapes, superb architecture and diverse cultures.
Games & Activities
At your leisure, watch or participate in hobbyhorse racing, mobile phone throwing and a brand new game, sankohiipiminen (bucket sneaking). See the schedule for start times. However, we ask that you please register in advance for the following games and activities:

There will be the opportunity to learn the mastery of Nordic folk dancing, purchase a host of Finnish products in our company showcase and experience in virtual reality - 100 Moods of Finland.
For the young ones, watch the very first episode of the brand-new Moominvalley television series and do not forget to post your letter to Santa Claus with our very special mailbox.
Food & Drink
The Canberra Finnish community will help fill your stomachs with Finnish delicacies like Karelian pies and munkki. Quench your thirst thanks to Euro Drinks with a beloved Lonkero (Long Drink) or espresso coffee from My Sweet Alice.

For those attending Floriade, there will be a free Windows to the World shuttle bus throughout the day between Commonwealth Park and Yarralumla.
Carpool with family and friends as there be very limited street parking available.
Bicycle parking will be restricted by event activities so please be considerate of where your bike is locked.
