USAID Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick visits Finland

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Bonnie Glick visits Finland on 19–20 October 2020.

Deputy Administrator Glick is currently touring Europe. She visits Finland at the invitation of Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari, with whom she will have a meeting on Tuesday 20 October. Deputy Administrator Glick will also meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto and public officials at the Prime Minister's Office. 

The aim of the visit is to continue discussion about topical development policy questions, focusing on the promotion of digitalisation in emerging economies. Other themes of discussion will include the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the forthcoming Afghanistan Conference, which is co-organised by Finland, Afghanistan and the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).

While in Finland, Deputy Administrator Glick will also meet other public authorities and representatives of business life.
