Minister Skinnari to discuss citizens’ opportunities to exert influence in the EU on “We are Europe” tour

Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari will discuss citizens’ opportunities to exert influence in the EU at Lahti main library on 16 November. The aim is to hear people’s thoughts and wishes about the future of Europe. The event is part of Finnish Ministers’ “We are Europe” tour.

The event will be held on Tuesday 16 November at 10.30–12.00 at the auditorium of the Lahti main library, Kirkkokatu 31, 15140 Lahti. Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Member of the European Parliament, and Ninni Norra, citizen representative of Finland at the Conference on Future of Europe, will also attend the event. You can follow the event at the library or view its webcast online. Questions and comment can be presented both in the library and online. 

This autumn and winter, Finnish ministers will tour the country and listen to people’s ideas and wishes for the future of Europe. The citizens’ messages will be passed on to the EU-level debate on what kind of Europe we want to build.
