Finland’s Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will visit Dubai in the United Arab Emirates 2–4 December. Minister Tavio will attend events organised as part of the UN Climate Change Conference and meet ministers from other countries and representatives of businesses and international organisations.

For the first time, Finland will have a pavilion of its own at the UN Climate Change Conference, COP28. Finland Pavilion will showcase current perspectives on climate change mitigation and adaptation on the global scale and present clean energy innovations and solutions developed in Finland.

Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs is planning to launch a tendering process for outsourcing its entry permit application submission services in 2024. As a preparation for the upcoming tendering process, the Ministry will survey the market in autumn 2023.

At the presidential session on Friday 29 September, the President of the Republic appointed one new Ambassador and three new non-resident Ambassadors.

Some of the prices of services provided by the Finnish missions and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will rise. The new prices will enter into force on 1 September 2023.

Heads of Finland’s missions abroad and foreign policy leaders will meet again at the Annual Meeting of Heads of Mission in Helsinki on 21–23 August.
