The Embassy serves residents and citizens of its jurisdiction United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Qatar. In addition to the Embassy’s jurisdiction, the Embassy in Abu Dhabi receives residence permit applicants from Pakistan.

Previously, due to the travel restrictions to the UAE from Pakistan, not all applicants were able to travel. Based on the information received regarding the resumption of flight and visa operations, the Embassy has started to schedule appointments. The appointments are offered based on the applicant’s original appointment request dates (for student/family/work/oral hearings etc.). The appointment request queue includes hundreds of applicants starting from March 2020.

Currently, as the visa and flight operations are resumed, most of the applicants are able to attend their appointments and the Embassy has much less last minute cancellations. The appointment time calendar is fully booked for the upcoming weeks and it is not likely that the Embassy will be able to offer any appointments based on last minute cancellations.

The Embassy is unable to comment on the applicant’s status in the queue. Due to the high number of applicants, the estimated waiting time may be several months depending on when you have submitted your request and due to many factors beyond the Embassy’s control.

If you already know that your appointment request is no longer valid, please inform us immediately by sending an e-mail to [email protected] in order to release the appointment for another applicant.

Inquiries and email messages to the Embassy will not speed up the process in any individual case. The Embassy will contact you once we can schedule your appointment, so please wait to be contacted from the Embassy side. We aim to confirm the appointment 3-4 weeks ahead in order to allow enough time for the travel arrangements. We are aware that this takes a lot of patience but this way we can focus on dealing with the applications.
