“Nordic Lights: An Evening of Finnish Music” Concert to Illuminate Ras Al Khaimah with the Enchanting Sounds of Finland
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the Embassy of Finland in the UAE is delighted to invite residents and visitors to experience an extraordinary evening of Finnish music and culture. Taking place on Friday, 13th December 2024, the Nordic Lights concert will bring internationally renowned Finnish musicians and rising local talent to the stage of the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Development Centre.
The acclaimed Finnish duo—cellist Jussi Makkonen and pianist Nazig Azezian—will headline the event. They will be joined by the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Riad Kudsi. The concert will feature the UAE premiere of Nordic Adagio, a masterpiece composed by Tuomas Kantelinen, alongside iconic works by renowned Finnish composer Jean Sibelius arranged for cello and piano.
This exclusive performance marks a harmonious fusion of global artistry and local talent, offering a rare opportunity to experience the captivating cultural heritage of Finland.
